Sephora review

okay so I just bought this anti-shine primer from the sephora collection and I have to admit I'm thinking about returning it to get my money back. It is described as Sephora Brand "Tricks of the Trade" Anti-Shine Primer preps skin to expertly hold foundation and mattifies skin for up to eight hours, controlling and balancing sebum production. It guarantees that your makeup stays fresh and color-true.

For me it does not last more than an hour, which was really disappointing. The price is $18 and I would not buy this again.

What I am happy about is the new airbrush system that I bought from sephora. I decided to get the Temptu airbrush system because it is light weight,easy to carry around from job to job. And the best thing is when I am doing a wedding it is so much easier and more efficient for me to be able to switch out the color pods instead of clearing out all the liquid from a bigger airbrush system, wiping it out and putting in a new color liquid. It just makes the process faster. Also, I love the way it makes the skin glow. The price is $225. The only thing is that you can only use temptu pods which makes it just a little more expensive as there is no other competitor for this airbrush brand. However for my particular situation it was an overall better choice for me. It is `really easy to use and so far I am loving it.

Sleek primer makeup palette

This is a new product from sleek makeup. These are all primers for your eyeshadows. It comes with 12 different primers, I haven't experienced any creasing with them, and lets my eyeshadows last all day. I love bright vibrant colors and these primers allow me to get my eyeshadows to be as vibrant as I want them. For example, you want to wear blue eyeshadow today, then you put the blue primer on your lids first, then your blue eyeshadow and the primer makes that eyeshadow really pop. The only thing about this palette is that its best to only use the primer where you want the eyeshadow to be placed. Normally, you would prime your whole lid so that all your shadows stay in place but its harder to blend other colors if you put for instance the blue primer all over your lid. I would buy this again. Coming Back Strong

I have been away for so long. My family and I recently moved to Hawaii, we moved into our new house in november and just received our "household goods" as the military refers it to, last friday. Im happy to say that I have finally been able to order my business cards and other things that I will be using to advertise myself in this beautiful state. I am also so happy that my wonderful husband bought me a professional camera for christmas so now I will be able to upload a lot more pictures here. Im so excited to get the ball rolling. My Favorite "Fix It" Products

I know I am due for another post. My husband returned home from deployment and I have been loving every minute with him and my family, but I have returned to share some of my favorite "Fix It" products that I have found to help out so much.

First and foremost, you know I am an advocate for oily skin and finding great products that work well for us. That is why MAC's Matte is an absolute favorite of mine. This works well as a primer before applying your foundation. When I put it on, it soaks up all oil from my skin and lets my foundation just glide on my face and in conjunction with using the kabuki brush when applying my makeup it really helps to give an airbrushed look. It is $18 at MAC and just a little goes a long way.

I did a post on how to cover up dark circles and how the peach correctors are the best to use and the Bobbi brown corrector in peach is a must have in my makeup bag. Bobbi Brown is a true pioneer in makeup and I absolutely love her products. If I could afford to buy her stuff all the time I would. This corrector is $22 but it is well worth it. It lasts for a while and I don't go without it. It's not heavy or cakey, it goes on very smooth and looks natural. It sort of feels like the gel liners, goes on very easy and smooth. By the way if you have never tried gel liners, you are missing out. They are so easy to work with and last all day.

Another brand that I have become more familiar with is MAKE UP FOR EVER.  I really like from this brand, the camouflage concealer palette. As a makeup artist this is an absolute wonderful product. I have a variety of concealer colors in one palette, its smooth and gives full coverage. It is a little more expensive it is $36, however a great alternative to this is Coastal Scents camouflage concealer palette, only $17 and works just as well, I just find that I have to warm up the product with my fingers a little longer or else it is a little harder to blend, but over all it is a good buy. Got Dark Circles?

If you have ever used concealer to cover up dark circles and noticed that it only seemed to highlight them or make them look a little gray or ashy my advice is to stick with the pink, peach or coral correctors. If you have very fair skin use a pink colored corrector, peach for light to medium skin and for dark complexion use a dark peach or coral colored corrector. These colors fade out the blueish tone in dark circles and instantly makes your eyes look more awake and bright. After you have applied your corrector, then apply your concealer. When applying the concealer and corrector, use your finger to blot on until well blended, never wipe or smear it. After you have blended then apply a loose powder over it to avoid any creasing.

You can find this product at amazon or sephora. I absolutely love everything in this box especially the erase paste. It comes with step by step directions on how to use all the products. This was a great buy for me.
